Per Se is a Berlin based menswear label founded by Yannick Heidemanns & Tim Borchert. The focus lies on creating high quality and well thought-out garments which are locally made, attempting to form a unique perspective on aesthetic longevity.
The works are inspired by various subcultural influences that the duo has encountered and appreciated while growing up. However, they have always incorporated nuances of these influences, avoiding total conformity. The idea is rather to pose questions. They are not intended to be answered by the finished work but are purposely passed on to the wearer. Sparking a soliloquy to evolve, yet allowing for neither in- nor exclusion.
Per Se only utilize carefully sourced, as well as locally made high-quality fabrics, yarns and buttons that match the standards of traditional garment creation and allow for elevated comfort, total serenity, and a lifetime of value. The label maintains close relationships with the small number of suppliers in Germany, Japan and Italy ensuring a high level of consistency.
In addition to the collection releases, the duo is frequently collaborating with various artists from different disciplines combining crafts and sharing mutual as well as contrasting perspectives.
